Brockfield Land Developments have lodged an
application for Material Change of Use and
Reconfiguration, to create 128 residential allotments
on land fronting Windermere Road at The Sloping
Hummock. The Slopping Hummock is the only
elevated land between Bundaberg and the popular
Bargara Beach. The Land boasts views over the
adjacent cane lands to the coastline.
The development of this site will facilitate the
extension of sewer reticulation services to existing
Hummock community as well as addressing existing
traffic issues. It will also see an important historical
building for the South Sea Islanders being handed
back to Community as part of the project.
Approvals are due at the end of 2007 and
construction is due to commence in 2008.
